Akümsan Administrative Building and Warehouse Project

The Akümsan building, designed as a warehouse structure on a site located in the Esenyurt Kıraç Industrial Zone, is planned with a two-story office structure on its entrance façade. Approximately 4,700 m² of the total 5,500 m² building consists of warehouse and technical spaces. The warehouse is located on the ground and basement levels. Vertical circulation between floors is provided by an elevator and a ramp.

The ground floor is elevated to a plinth level of 1.2 meters. This raises the building above ground level, defining the entrance through wide stairs while establishing a relationship with the landscape. The upper floor overhang creates a canopy effect, forming a sheltered outdoor space; it defines the entrances and establishes both visual and physical connections with the cafeteria.

While the office building defines the building’s urban envelope with its unified horizontal geometry, it also establishes the relationship between storage and operational functions within the interior.
